Michael White - Lead Pastor
Michael has pastored churches for in excess of 30 years and is passionate about teaching the word of God. He has a heart for people, mentoring and guiding people through every season of life with biblical truth. When he has a spare moment he enjoys gardening, and like most men watching football.
Caroline White - Leadership and Worship
Caroline worked in education for many years with hearing impaired children in a mentoring a pastoral capacity. She is a gifted communicator who is passionate about serving God, especially in the areas of worship and women’s ministry. In her spare time she enjoys walking in the beautiful Somerset countryside with Eddie the schnauzer.
Our Story: We are currently in our launch phase, pioneered by a core team of six people, led by Pastors Michael & Caroline White. We are an independent, non-denominational church. This means we are locally governed and self-supporting, rather than being controlled by a central denominational board.
Our Structure: As a new, independent church, our formal internal leadership structure is actively forming. We are committed to establishing local elders and trustees as the church grows.
Our Current Accountability: Because we believe no leader should stand alone, our pastors voluntarily submit to external spiritual oversight and mentorship from established pastors and leaders, as a couple they are in very close trusted relationship with two churches, Grace Chapel Church, CapeTown, Oasis City Church Watford. As a church we have also recently built relationships with Bridgewater Christian Community which involves many local Church leaders who reinforce the need for relationship and accountability.
Our affiliations: We are affiliated with Evangelical Christian Churches South Africa. This is a particularly strong relationship inasmuch has there is regular weekly contact, providing our church with guidance and mentoring from senior Pastors of the ECC. ECC respect the autonomy of the local church and each church’s individual independence by encouraging the development of qualified and godly local leaders.
